Users can search for salons in their area and book appointments 24 hours a day. Hot Pepper Beauty also offers appointments for other beauty services, such as nails and makeup.

While the site is currently only available in Japanese, it remains an invaluable resource.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you set up your account and book your beauty treatments effortlessly.

How to Book a Hair Salon in Japan using Hot Pepper Beauty

Step 1: Navigate to the Hot Pepper Beauty website or open the app (https://beauty.hotpepper.jp/)

Step 2: Click on “会員登録” (kai’in tōroku) on the right side of the page to start the registration process.

Step 3: Enter your email address and hit the button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: You’ll receive a verification code in your email. Note the code, input it on the registration page, and click the box below it.

Step 5: Complete the registration form with your details. 

Here’s a quick guide: Under the “Name” field, you can input the first set of names in Romaji. The second set should be typed in katakana.

Choose your preferences by ticking the relevant boxes. Hot Pepper Beauty is part of Recruit Lifestyle, which offers services like Hot Pepper Gourmet (for dining reservations) and Jalan (for travel)

To receive updates about all Recruit Lifestyle services, check the first box under “Newsletter.” Select the second box if you prefer updates specifically from Hot Pepper Beauty.

Once you’ve filled out the form, click the button at the bottom to proceed to the confirmation page.

Step 6: Once you are on the confirmation page, review all your information for accuracy, then confirm by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.

Congratulations! Your Hot Pepper Beauty account is now set up.

You’re ready to explore salons and book your beauty treatments. You can get a 10% discount on your first haircut when you book and reserve online. In addition, enjoy exclusive offers and promotions on hair care products and services, find the salon nearest you, and book your appointment online.
